Website visitors

Donor privacy

When an individual chooses to donate to START, START collects name, address, email address, telephone number (optional) and credit card payment information. START collects this information using online donation forms or through direct contact with a donor. START uses a third-party payment gateway, Stripe, to process credit card payments using industry-standard security. START does not have access to or store credit card information.

START tracks donor information to report to our board, thank the donor, recognize supporters and understand how to better attract additional donors. Only employees and contractors who need to know to process donations on START's behalf have access to personally identified information. Donors may elect to remain anonymous and if they do so will not be recognized publicly.

START will not sell, share or trade our donors' names or personal information with any other entity. In addition, we will not send mailings to our donors on behalf of other organizations.

This policy applies to all information received by START, both online and offline, on any platform, as well as any electronic, written, or oral communications.

Any person can be removed from our lists used for online or offline fundraising appeals by sending a request by email to info@STARTseniorsolutions.org; by letter to START Senior Solutions, 6995 Mariann Drive, Eden Prairie, MN 55346; or by calling us at 952-215-7052. Upon receipt, we will immediately remove your name and contact information from future appeals. Donors may also contact us using one of the preceding methods to update their information.

A cookie is a string of information that a website stores on a visitor's computer, and that the visitor's browser provides to the website each time the visitor returns. START uses cookies to help us identify and track visitors, their usage of the START website and their website access preferences.
